SKINMATE SHARK OIL REVIEW
HEY GUYS!
Another review today which features "SKINMATE SHARK OIL". The first time i used it, i was really happy because of it's maximum peeling effect, that it dries my pimples really quick, and even lightened my acne scars. But after a while, i stop this product. Why? I didn't like it. It got worse and i feel horrible every time i look at myself in the mirror.

WHAT IS IT AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
SKINMATE SHARK OIL effectively treats pimples, blackheads, whiteheads and other skin blemishes such as freckles and age spots. SKINMATE SHARK OIL guarantees to whiten darkened and burnt skin caused by excessive use of harsh whitening agents.
Why effective?
Because SKINMATE SHARK OIL, has an active ingredients made of pure fish oil and that’s very rich of vitamin A that helps removes dead skin and blemishes allowing new skin cells to dominate making it important function of SKINMATE SHARK OIL, it prevents melanin compound from producing brown pigment on the skin that causes darkening. Result will be a whiter skin in just seven (7) days.
APPLICATIONS:
- Use it every night for one week straight.
- After one week, rest your face for about a week or two then reapply but this time, every other night
- On the 3rd week, use it once or twice a week until you get the desirable results you want.
MY REVIEW:
After i came across with this product which dates back a year ago, i think...so yeah, i bought it as soon as i heard about the great feedbacks you can get from it and after I've read hundreds of reviews from it. Mostly are positive ones but the negativity is still there so i was hesitant at first to buy this one for i felt scared as well that i might end up like them too. Like i said before, I'm a girl who suffers from severe acne and something like this would probably help me out a little.
WHAT HAPPENED TO MY FACE:
1st night: No peeling
2nd night: Slight peeling
3-4th night: Noticeable peeling effect
5-7th night: Still noticeable peeling effect
Then i rested for about 3 days and reapply it again but this time, every other night.
SO WHY YOU THINK I STOPPED?
Because i hated the noticeable peeling effect! You see, i go to school everyday (I'm 4th year college student), carrying with me all these obvious zits covered with pus and forcefully concealed under make-up. Just imagine that! No matter how much i try to it cover up, the bumps are really visible and it's so heart-breaking every time i look at myself in the mirror. I feel so embarrassed talking to my friends because i know they literally looked at me differently but also i know they understand it so they just leave it as it is so it won't hurt my feelings probably. But for sure, they'll gossip behind my back because of my peeled face and i look horrible with it. I know that they have noticed the "cracking up" make-up on both sides of my cheeks because the peeling effect hasn't subsided yet and it's obviously still there! I just hated it so much! So i stopped using that one.
After a week of not using it anymore, the acne got worse! I noticed small white bumps on my face which is called "Milia". These Milia are keratin-filled cysts that formed up because my skin wasn't able to exfoliate properly and so the dead skins are trapped inside leaving hard cyst that are unprickable! They are not pimples. I thought at first that they are so i tried to "pop" it out. I only got hurt since it was too hard to be popped out I feel so frustrated every night that i threw the bottle away...forever.
PROS:
- great peeling effect
- dries up pimples
- heals acne scars
- improve acne complexion
CONS:
- noticeable peeling effect (especially if under make-ups such as BB Creams and foundations)
- redness after 3-4 days continuous usage (it's normal don't worry but really, i feel scared about it since it really went dark...and i don't want that spot to darken enough)
- dark area on the spot of treatment (it's irritating to see)

I was arguing with my mind about purchasing it again, but honestly, I'm not going to use it EVER again. I've had enough. .
I know. I know. For some of you who have tried this one, it really gave you guys positive results and great effects that healed and improved your acne scars, but to me it was a curse. I cried every night and regret it everyday on why i still use that one to the very last. I know that there's nothing wrong with the product because i know we all have different skin types and our skin reacts differently either positively or negatively. So I'm happy for all the people who had used this one and gained great results.
I recommend it to people who are looking for products that could heal their acne scars but make sure to follow all the rules of this product cause you don't want to be like me, do you?

I know how it feels when people look at you and their eyes wander around your face to check out your pimples and can't seem to focus on your eyes. I've been battling with my acne for a long time and decided to go to a very good dermatologist. I started my consultation with her since I was 18 years old. Now I'm 28 and all my pimples are gone (as in zilch), thanks to my dermatologist and to the wonder drug she has prescribed me: Isotretinoin. I swear, all your pimples will be gone if you use this. But this isn't just an ordinary drug you can buy over the counter. You need a prescription plus a waiver form for this since this drug is teratogenic (harmful to fetus). My dermatologist did not lay a hand on my face, she didn't prick me or did any facial on me. Plus I only had two medications from her, glycolic acid in the morning and tretinoin at night. That's so manageable compared to my previous dermatologists who prescribed MANY MANY facial creams/medicine that it became cumbersome to apply. I've been to many dermatologists before, trust me, but this dermatologist I've been praising is the one who really got rid of my acne. May I suggest you book an appointment with her at the Asian Hospital in Alabang. Her office number is (632) 771-9235. Her name is Dra. Eleanore Ochoa-Nicolas. Her consultation fee is around 800 pesos. Expect that per visit, you may be charged at least 1,200 for the medication and her PF. But trust me, it's worth it!!! The isotretinoin drug she will prescribe you is very cheap, it's only 1,500 per box for a month's supply. You will take it for six months, depending on your skin condition. One thousand five hundred is a SMALL price to pay compared to the relief and joy you will feel once you have eradicated your acne. I have a friend of mine whom I also recommended my dermatologist to, grabe mukha niya, parang wala nang space tubuan ng pimples. But when she went to my dermatologist and started using isotretinoin, ayun, nawala. Pero masyado naman lumaki ulo at nagfeeling maganda nung nawala yung pimples. Huwag kang maging ganun ha, hehe. I'm doing this out of my own volition. My derma didn't pay me to advertise her, not at all. In fact, matagal na ako hindi bumabalik ng derma ko kasi nawala na pimples ko, haha! Please, try mo lang. I would want to help you eradicate your acne because I know how it feels talaga. My heart melted when you said," it's so heart-breaking every time i look at myself in the mirror." Omigad. I know that feeling. Sigh. Well, thanks to my derma and isotretinoin, nawala! :)

Hello! gusto ko lang po mag tanong kung sa Alabang lang po may clinic yung Dermatologist na sinasabi mo. kasi ang dami ko rin Acne at nagpa derma na rin ako pero sobrang daming pinapahid di naman effective. :(

Hi guys , I am a blogger too and I have had the same problem because of using other peeling product. Then I have found a solution that worked for me it's just that I still have scars from the pimples and burns that the chemical left on my face . DeleteI think allergic ka sa product kaya nangangati at namumula ung face mo. Na irritate siguro yan kaya ganun. You have a sensitive skin so try something hypoallergenic. Just apply cold compress to soothe the redness and possible swelling. Hope this helps!

DeleteI used to have a lot of warts on my face especially near the eye area, i heard that this product claims to resolve my issue and i gave it a try, i applied the product only on the spots where my warts are and not all around my face (I used a Q-tip). Once I accidentally applied some to my face area that wasn't affected and it stung so badly. But after a week, it has effectively removed my facial warts. I swear it did, maybe you just need to apply it on the affected area and not on your entire face: )

DeleteHi! Ive been using this for almost a week and a half. Swear! Effective! Beauty is pain nga kelangn mo maghintay. I have a big pores, black heads and rough face. To tell you di din ako namalat from summer. Nung ginamit ko to, naglighten out face ko, naging smooth siya and 90% ng blackheads and whiteheads ko nagdisappear. True mamalat siya duh! Pero may solusyon dyan. Diba sa gabi maglalagay ka till morning, then before you go to school or work, maligo ka and rinse your face with just water. Then apply myra-e mosturizing cream, ung grey. Para di halata ung peels. In case na magkaron ng irritation or pamumula, you can remove the oil or lotion then apply yelo all over your face. Tapos pahinga mo face mo. Yun ung sakin. It turned out very fine. Oo medyo dismayado ako nung early thet week kasi parang nangingitim ako tapos rough hmung face ko. But on the 7th day, i scrubbed my face with my palm and i swear parang natanggal lahat ng dead cell ko sa mukha. It was smooth! Mga 78% smooth na grabe. Tapos super naglessen ung blackheads ko sa ilong na wala nang space para tubuan. Im continuing this as part of my beauty regime. At dont worry I go to work every day. Yung friend ko nga naabutan ko pa na sobrang peel na peel mukha niya pero di nahiya. Ngayon ang puti at smooth na nh skin niya :)

I noticed that my face was exfoliating to remove dead skins and caused of redness on my face. So after a week I applied shark oil every other day. My skin was not peeling too much like before. After 1 month of using it, I amazed in the result on my face. It was smoother, lighter, and removed pimples and blackheads. First month, you will suffer because of the peeling of your face and it is noticeable especially if you have a makeup. But after the month, you will feel be happy in the result. My friends have noticed it also the results. They always asked me what product that I am using and how to apply it. I recommended it to my friends and co-workers.

Since nagresurface ung new skin mo dahil sa peeling effect kaya pumuti siya then umitim uli might be because of sun exposure or your skin is too sensitive sa product kaya it burned and nagdarken. I feel the same embarrassment so you're not alone. You can discontinue the product if d ka hiyang. And listen more to your skin. Hope this helps!

DeleteIt's normal to see redness on your akin after the peeling effect. Meaning your new skin resurfaces already removing the old one. Just apply cold compress to soothe the redness and any hypoallergenic oisturizer of your choice. Hope this helps!

ok sya effective almost 2week or 3weeks nko gumagamit. sabayan pa ng soap hehe. ngaun feel ko banat ung muka ko, and mas smooth pa sya, namamalat padin sya until now pero di nmn ako nhhya hehe inaapply ko sya every other night. minsan mhapdi pero saglit lng tas ok na sa pkrmdam relax ung face ko and feel ko banat sya ngaun :)

ReplyDeletebalak ko gumamit nito. ano magandang moisturizer? myra e gray po ba? feeling ko kaya negative effect sa iba kasi sobrang nadry na yung muka nila. kaya tamang gumamit ng moisturizer or laging i-coolen ang face. pag estudyante mejo complikado nga yan kasi exposed ka sa field. pero pag sa work kung nasa opis lang naman ok lang.. pwede din naman mag facial mask kung talagang makikisalubong sa mga tao pero let the skin breath.

DeleteYes, its normal. Since the peeling effect revealed your new skin surface, removing the old one( the one that was peeled off). It stings coz you're skin is still adapting to the product. Hope this helps!

ReplyDeleteSo I started using Skinmate Shark Oil last Saturday night and ayun nagppeel na yung face ko (which is not a big deal to me since bakasyon naman).. However kinakabahan lang ako kasi I'm using other products din like Face Shop Clean Face Facial Foam, toner, and moisturizer plus their Sheet Masks (yes all products are from Fave Shop).. Medyo nabigla ako kasi nagssting ng kaunti when I wash my face with the facial foam. Is this normal? :(

DeleteYup. Normal lang na masting ung face since madami ka ding products na inaapply sa face mo kaya nag aadjust lalo yang skin mk para maghiyang ka. Pero as much as possible, only apply products na hypoallergenic sa face to avoid further confusions and damages. Hope this helps!

DeleteNormal lang na mamula at magpeel ung skin mo after use dahil yan ung trabaho ng product na yan. Tingnan mo muna ung effect nya after peeling then dun ka maghusga kung naghiyang ka ba o hindi. Hope this helps!

DeleteTry it muna kung hiyang ka sa product dear. Sensitive skin usually creates more problems if new product is applied sa face. So better use something hypoallergenic, ung friendly sa skin natin. Hope this helps!

DeletePd nmn siya gamitin since 18 kana and your skin may like the effect of the oil. Pero always remember dear na ang effect iba iba yan ha. It may work for some but not for you. Kung saan lang tau hiyang dun tayu ok? I suggest to try it muna kung paano sya mag effect sa skin mo. Follow the instructions indicated sa box. And if hiyang ka, good for you. DeleteProduct's effect vary from person to person. We all have different skin types so some maghihiyang sa product and some hindi. Its safe if you follow the instructions correctly. Effect takes time. Try it muna kung maghiyang ka. If not, you can always stop naman. Hope this helps!
I used shark oil, placenta cream, and carrot soap (SKINMATE) before, way back 2013, it really whitens my skintone.. Misan lang dumadaan acne sakin so i dont really use it for acne purposes. Effective sya sobra. but I stopped when I got pregnant, eto sobrang haggard ng face ko.. last saturday I bought another bottle to treat my ugly face again, Im on my 3rd day and I started to notice some peel offs. To hide the peeling effects I used Chin Chun Su, and it works! crossed-fingers hope it will give me same effect like before. Btw, Im using CY Gabriel medicated soap (green), skinmate shark oil & Chin Chun Su as moisturizer.

DeleteYes its normal dear na pamumula, maglabasan ang pimples and nangangapal kase nagtetake effect na ung peeling nya. 2-3 days makikita mo na ung peeling effect. Micro to macro peeling effect depende sa tao. Always remember na product's effect vary from person to person. It may work for some but nor for you. Pero d mo nmn malalaman kng d susubukan dba? DeleteI suggest na wag ka na gumamit ng peel off mask since shark oil itself is a peeling product kaya you experience rashes due to too much product sa face mo and remember na di lahat ng tao maghihiyang sa product. Iba iba tayu ng skin type. It may work for them but not for you. And i feel you girl. Di ka nag iisa! So stop mo ung peel off mask mo and just use lang daw muna ung oil. Use it every other night since sensitive ung skin mo. If anxious about the product, you can always stop and listen more to your skin. Hope this helps!

DeleteFor me, mas dumami ung pimples ko after use so i discontinue it dahil hindi ako hiyang sa product. Maybe it'll work for you. Ika nga skin gets worse muna bago it gets better so i think that's what's happening to your skin na naglalabasan lahat since nag absorb siya sa loob. Experiment muna girl for a week, every other night, malay mo makatulong siya dba? Hope this helps!

ReplyDeleteI actually used this on my armpit and this is how it will work perfectly... Use it for 3 consecutive nights after you shower. Pat dry the are that you'll be applying it with. Make sure you stop on the 4th night and wait patiently. I will peel off the next few days. You'll have to use it again after a month from your first application. It'll be like a 3 months process before I achieved what I wanted in my underarms but the waiting game is so worth it. Make sure not to use any other product on your skin, because it's peeling, the skin gets thinner. Hope that helps.
The reason why it doesn't work to others is because of the incorrect usage and application. Make sure you use only your fingertips as instructed on the label. But I assure you that it really works and my underarms got whiter. Same as my face. Tho I only tried it for a month (meaning I only applied it 3 times on my face) and that's it. After the peel off sobrang noticeable na yung glow ng skin ko. My real problem talaga is my armpit. And this is the best solution. 101% sure and tested. (if you follow the right directions)

DeleteYes dear. Normal lang yan na effect sa face na namamaga at mahapdi pag nilagay. I experience that too at dahil yan sa peeling effect kaya nagganyan sa face mo. I suggest na try it muna for a week kung maghiyang ba ung skin mo. Effects vary from person to person. It may work for some people but not with you. So try it muna for a week, every other night - kung monday sa gabi mo inguae next is wed ng gabi nmn. Ganun. See it for yourself muna dear kung maghiyang ka. If you feel anxious about it, you can always stop and go for products na friendly for your face. Hope this helps!

Always remember that product's effect vary from person to person. It may work for some people but not with you. Pero sabi nga nila, skin gets worse before it gets better but it takes times and sometimes nakakaimpatient mag-antay. I suggest na istop mo nlng dear knowing na sensitive ung skin mo jan. ReplyDeleteHi Geraldine! Just continue using it kung gusto mo pa gamitin yan. If ever makalimutan mo mag apply, try every other 2 days. After your last application, rest 2-3 days, the start again with every other night na application. For your oily face, you can use any mild soap na hiyang ikaw, Oily dn face ko so I'm currently using cetaphil facial wash and clean and clear na facial wash ung orange ang color. Any sunblock would do, I'm using Olay now. Anything na hiyang ikaw dear, just listen to your skin. Hope this helps! :)

ReplyDeleteHi. Kung straight po ung paggamit nyo ng Shark oil, nasa exfoliation process kana po siguro meaning nagatanggal na ung outer surface ng face nyo revealing the new surface. So pag nagaapply ka and mahapdi siya meaning new skin mona hindi pa natotally heal up naturally mahapdi talaga un. Give it some time to heal muna before you can apply it again.

Although it's natural daw for some na lumabas lahat ng kapangitan bago ka gumanda, pero kung di ikaw comfortable sa effect ng oil, you can always stop and try some milder products for your sensitive skin. I'm using cetaphil products for my face. You can try applying ice sa imflamed pimples mo to help it dry overnight. It always works like magic. :)

ReplyDeleteHi. Currently, I've been using cetaphil facial wash and clean and clean oil control ung color orange na facial wash. I've been using the products since then RELIGIOUSLY! My face is so much better than before plus I also stop using make.up although madami pang scars fort he sake of confidence and normal life, I manage to push it away. I only use kojic for body wash not for face since it stings and i have a very sensitive face. Hope this helps! :)

ReplyDeleteI guess you have a sensitive skin sis and the product is too strong for your skin. Although yan naman daw talaga ung "normal effect" ng product, mild itching, redness, peeling, and sometimes pag nasubrahan or d hiyang sa skin may burning effect na talaga siya kase medyo strong siya na product talaga for sensitive skin. Ung peeling effect nya is depende sa skin mo gang kelan sya magaexfoliate. Mga 1-2wks cguro bago magfade ung peeling effecr if u stop using the product. Okay lng ung moisturizer and sunblock basta use products na hiyang sayu to avoid further breakouts. :)

DeleteHi. Irest mo muna face mopo. Yan kase ung initial reaction ng product, nangangati, pamumula. Try nyo po apply uli every other night mo bale maskiskip ka ng one day to rest then apply, then rest then apply uli. Try nyo po ito for 7 days kung magimprove po. Apply ice sa parts na itchy and pamumula to help ur skin feel better po.

Hi. Ganun po talaga effect ng oil sa pimples po. Since primary purpose nya po talaga ay i eliminate ung pimples natin pero dahil sa sensitive po skin natin madali po magkati at mamula ung face po sanhi po ng irritation galing sa chemical sa oil po. Mas irritated, mas lalala po ang pimple. It may work for others pero it didnt work for you. Iba iba kase po skin natin so much better po to stop it nlng po to prevent and avoid further trauma and inflammations.

I advice po to stop using the product po since I think your skin is too sensitive sa chemical ng product kaya nakakasunog sya and namamalat at nagkakaroon ng milia o ung maliit na puting butlig. Usually mga oils po un na d nakalabas dahil d na makahinga ung skin nyo po kaya na trap na ung oils and naging milia. Just apply ice for your inflamed skin po to minimize redness and darkspots thus increasing ur blood circulation sa face to promote fasting healing.

ReplyDeleteHi. It depends po sa skin naten. Pag nahiyang ka sa product, macocontrol po nito ung pimples nyo. If hnd naman at medyo sensitive, possible outbreaks po mangyayari. And pamamalat usually takes 3-4 days depending ulit sa healing process ng skin natin.

DeleteHi I hope you can help me po. Six days ko na pong ginagamit ang Sharkoil pero wala pa din pong peeling na nagaganap. Makati lang po sya at may konting redness. Tapos sa noo at ilong ko po ay may mga butlig na tumubo. Mas naglabasan pa po blackheads at whiteheads sa may ilong ko. Ano pong gagawin ko? ��
ReplyDeleteHi Your skin po is sensitive ata sa product. You can stop it po if you feel like hindi na siya maganda na effect sa skin nyo po. For your redness and itching po, apply ice po on your skin 2x a day for 5-10mins. Para sa butlig2 and whiteheads naman po, try to exfoliate your skin po using products na hiyang sayu po. You can try a natural exfoliator po baking soda, apply once a week on your skin. Hope that helps!^^
DeleteHi~ Magsasuggest lang ako sana pero siyempre nakadepende parin sa skin nyo, pero if di nyo gusto yung peeling effect ng shark oil, try nyo iexfoliate yung face nyo, try to use some exfoliating scrub, pero make sure nya di kayo allergic sa kahit anong ingredients non, and try nyo yung Nature Republic na aloe vera gel, or kahit ano basta aloe vera na makakapagmoisturize ng face nyo.. First, use the exfoliating scrub, in circular motion po, and be gentle to ur skin kase baka pag nasobrahan yung yung gigil baka mamula yung mukha, tas idry nyo yung face nyo (pat lang ng malinis na face towel) and after, iapply nyo yung aloe vera gel/ moisturizer... I recommend aloe vera kase, it can give moisture to ur skin, lalo na kung nagpepeel ang mukha nyo.. yung pagexfoliate minsan lang, twice a week is enough... yun lang, God bless us all.. Love lovee

ReplyDeleteHi. You can try po exfoliating scrubs - products with Tea Tree Oil can help po remove your butlig2. Or antural exfoliator like baking soda. But be gentle po sa baking soda coz' its a little abrasive sa skin, so gently scrub it on your face once or twice a week. Hope it helps!^^

ReplyDeletetry maxi peel 1, do not use cotto, just tap a little and observe it, use sunscreen when going out if you're gonna use it, and avoid direct sunlight, just tap a little.
Deletebefore using any product, do a patch test... hindi yung basta maka gamit lang.. hindi ginagamitan ng cotton ang shark oil, before using it use a toner first, then after 15 mins shark oil then a moisturizer to so the peeling effect won't look too aggrevated.. and when you're using a PEELING AGENT, never use scented/comedogenic soap as it also irritate your skin, but to sum it up, PATCH TEST on your neck or wrist first.

Well, i suggest lng to anyone who's planning to try shark oil to use it with moisturizer that has sunblock to protect your face from harmful rays and also to help minimize the peeling. Avoid putting powder to your face. Well if you work and have to used make ups, then shark oil isn't the one for you. And i also suggest that u take myra e capsule for internal care. And you will see the great result that you want. Ciao.
